Orders & Turnaround.

We will replace any defective product.

If you are not satisfied with the quality of the final product, please contact us within 24 hours (one business day) of receiving your order. We will work with you to resolve any issues.

Please note that we will not accept responsibility for errors or omissions in a file that was approved for production.

You should carefully review your files before submission. You should not approve a proof until you are certain it will produce the desired result. You can request a printed proof for a small fee.

Yes, you can request a quote through our website. Please provide as much detail as possible about your project for an accurate quote.

Orders can be placed online through our website, by email, or by visiting our shop in person. For large or custom orders, we recommend coming in or contacting us directly to discuss your needs.

Turnaround time varies depending on the size and complexity of the job. Standard print jobs are usually completed within 3-5 business days. Rush services may be available, additional fees may apply.

The turnaround time depends on a number of factors. We provide an estimated turnaround time with all of our quotes. We do not guarantee a turnaround time, final delivery can be impacted by many factors that are out of our control. We do our best to meet or exceed our estimated turnaround time.

Our turnaround times are based on the date an order is placed. The first business day in the estimate is the day after the order is placed unless otherwise specified. Certain products must be ordered by a certain time of day, if the order is placed after that cut off time then the estimated turnaround time calculation treats the order as though it were placed the following business day.

Orders cannot be cancelled once they have entered production.

By approving a proof, you confirm that the order will proceed to production. Once you accept a quote and submit a file for production, you are committed to collecting the order and paying the invoice in full.

If cancellation is requested after the order is sent to production but before it has been completed, we may be able to halt the process. However, a cancellation fee may apply.

Thank you for understanding the commitment involved in custom print production.

Design and File Specifications

Design and File Specifications.

For the best possible printing experience, we recommend submitting your files in high-resolution PDF format (300 DPI, CMYK color mode, with fonts embedded or outlined). This format ensures your design retains its sharpness and clarity during the printing process. However, if edits are necessary, we can also accept files from most graphic design programs.

If the work to prepare your file takes our designers more than 15 minute additional charges may be incurred, we will seek approval before proceeding.

Safety margins create a buffer zone around your design’s critical elements, such as text and images. This ensures these elements will not be cut off during the trimming process after printing. We recommend a 1/4″ safety margin for most print jobs and a 1/2″ margin for large format printing (signs, etc.). For further guidance on setting up safety margins, please refer to the downloadable guides available under the “File Specs” tab on most of our product pages. Our team is also happy to answer any questions you may have.

Full-colour printing utilizes a four-ink colour model known as CMYK. This stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. These inks are strategically combined in minute dots by our skilled technicians using high-quality equipment. This combination allows us to recreate a vast range of colours, producing nearly any image imaginable. The majority of our products utilize CMYK printing, making it ideal for most printing applications.

In print design, a “bleed” refers to the area of a document that extends beyond the actual trim edge of the printed piece. This extra margin is usually about 1/8 inch (3 mm) and ensures that the design or colour extends to the very edge of the paper, even after it is trimmed to the final size.

Bleeds are crucial for preventing any unwanted white borders from appearing around the edges of the final printed piece due to slight variations in the cutting process. By extending the artwork beyond the trim lines, bleeds ensure a seamless and professional appearance for the final product.

A PDF (Portable Document Format) is preferred for print for several reasons:

  1. Consistency: PDFs ensure that the layout, fonts, images, and graphics appear the same on any device or printer. This consistency is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the design.

  2. Embedded Fonts and Images: PDFs can embed all the necessary fonts and images within the file, ensuring that nothing is missing or substituted during the printing process.

  3. Compression: PDFs can compress high-quality images and graphics, making the file size more manageable without compromising quality.

  4. Print-Ready Features: PDFs support CMYK color profiles, bleeds, crop marks, and other print-specific settings that are essential for professional printing.

  5. Security: PDFs can be password-protected and encrypted, providing an additional layer of security for sensitive documents.

  6. Universal Compatibility: PDF is a widely accepted format that can be opened and processed by virtually all printing equipment and software.

These features make PDFs the ideal format for ensuring that printed materials look exactly as intended when they are produced.

How to ensure your Canva files are print ready:

To ensure your files are print-ready when using a service like Canva, follow these steps:

  1. Set up correct dimensions: Use the exact dimensions needed for the final print size, including bleed if necessary.

  2. Use high-resolution images: Ensure all images and graphics are high resolution (300 dpi) to avoid pixelation.

  3. Add bleed and margins: Include a bleed area of at least 1/8 inch (3 mm) beyond the trim size. Keep important text and elements within a safe margin of 1/4 inch (6 mm) from the edge.

  4. Choose the correct colour mode: Convert your design to CMYK colour mode for accurate printing.

  5. Embed fonts and images: Use fonts available within Canva to ensure they are embedded correctly. Ensure all images are embedded, not linked.

  6. Check alignment and spacing: Use Canva’s alignment tools to ensure proper spacing and alignment.

  7. Download as PDF: Download your design as a “PDF Print” with crop marks and bleed options selected.

  8. Review and proof: Open the PDF and check for errors. Print a test copy at home if possible.

  9. Communicate with your printer: Provide specific instructions to your printing service and ask for a proof before the final print run.

By following these steps, you can ensure your Canva files are print-ready and will produce high-quality results.
